Are you interested in learning professional upholstery techniques? Artisan Upholstery Workshops give you the opportunity to complete a project with professional guidance and tools. You’ll be proud to say you did it yourself!

These are hands-on, day-long workshops (9am – 5pm). Beginners are able to bring and upholster a small side chair. More experienced students will bring a slightly more complicated small project to work on. You will have use of a pneumatic stapler, proper upholstery hand tools and safety equipment.

Although these workshop days are fun, they are also hard work! Please note that you will have to strip the fabric off your chair beforehand.

Basic materials are INCLUDED, with the exception of fabric and foam. If required, foam is available at an additional cost. You supply your own fabric.

Cost:

Beginner Project (see photos below) – $225 plus tax

Advanced Project (see photos below) – $250 plus tax

Large Project – contact Aimee for Private Lesson information!

Dates & Time:

There are currently no group workshops planned for the rest of 2025. Private lessons can be booked any available weekday for any size project. Contact Aimee for pricing and availability.

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your spot. Dates are not transferable.

Choose your project wisely!

Projects must be approved before the deposit is sent. Only chairs or small projects are acceptable due to space restrictions. Certain styles of furniture (tufting & flutes) are too complicated for these multiple-person workshops and cannot be considered (but the styles may be modified to be acceptable). Any project with a lot of sewing will not be accepted. Please use these photos as a guide for appropriate projects. A beginner project will certainly be completed in a day. Bigger projects are not guaranteed to be completed here, so keep your own skills in mind when you choose a project!
